Bharatiya Janata Party is facing criticism by its own party member of dictatorship. BJP’s Goa MLA and former deputy CM Francis D’Souza has said that he has been threatened by his own party. He says that if he will try to speak against his party, then he might have to face CBI and ED raids.

D’Souza has returned on Wednesday after taking his treatment from America. Earlier, citing bad health, he was removed from the Goa Cabinet. He had expressed resentment over this decision.

After returning from the United States, he told reporters that he feared about his future. “For the last twenty years, I have not been in wrong news. I do not know what will happen from tomorrow,” said D’Souza. He was law minister in the Manohar Parrikar-led cabinet before being dropped.

“I might get raided by Income Tax, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), or I may be even booked under the National Security Act for speaking against the party,” he said according to the TOI report.

D’Souza alleged that a former minister in the earlier Laxmikant Parsekar government was raided by the Income Tax department. He said this happened after minister spoke against the party for not giving him ticket in 2017 assembly election.

In the recent days CBI is in news for all the bad reasons. The fight within the CBI has already become a political potboiler. Even opposition parties pointing fingers at PM Modi for institutional decay.
