ADR (Association of Democratic Reforms) has revealed in its new report that within 5 years, 153 MPs have doubled their assets. And this list contains most of the names of BJP leaders.

ADR has disclosed the assets of MPs who were again elected in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. That is, after the election of the 2009 Lok Sabha election, they again reached in 2014.

Together from all the parties, there are 153 leaders whose assets have doubled in five years (2009-2014). The average asset growth of these 153 MPs was 7.81 crore rupees. Talking about the top 3, the first name in this list is BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, the second name is of BJD MP Pinaki Misra and the third name is from the NCP MP Supriya Sule. 

In 2009, Shatrughan Sinha had declared his property to be nearly 15 crores which increased to 131 crores till the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Pinaki Misra of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) had declared her property 107 crores in 2009, which increased to Rs 137 crores till the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. NCP MP Supriya Sule had declared her property in 2009 at Rs 51 crores, which increased to 113 crores till the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

This list of 153 MPs contains mostly names of BJP MPs. Talking about Top 10 in the list, there are 4 BJP MPs in this. The 10th is the name of BJP MP Varun Gandhi whose assets were 4 million in 2009 and till the election of 2014, it gone up to Rs 35 crore.

ADR has made this disclosure with the help of financial statements handed out on behalf of 153 MPs who were re-elected in 2014.
