Voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, 2019 is in progress. BJP MP Bhola Singh has been detained from Bulandshahar, who came to the polling station. It is alleged that he stood in front of people inside the polling booth and took photographs. Bhola Singh is also accused of going near to the EVM.

On this allegations, Bhola Singh replied that, “I have not violated the Code of Conduct in any manner.” He said that he went to see the arrangements in the polling booth and not to check out EVM. Bhola Singh said that people were coming out after casting votes. He claimed that they were chanting Modi slogans and he thanked them.

The District Magistrate, while giving information on the matter, said that any candidate can go to the booth. They can inspect the system there, it is not a violation of code of conduct. However, they cannot check or see EVM. DM and SSP are doing meetings in the Collectorate after Bhola Singh’s detention order was issued.

Under the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting is going on 97 seats in 12 states and one Union Territory. Today, voting is also being held in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Hathras, Mathura, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri and Nagina seats.
