More than 40 CRPF soldiers became martyr in the IED blast in the Pulwama area of Jammu and Kashmir. Attackers have targeted security forces. Jaish-e-Mohammad has taken responsibility of the attack.
However, it is really hard-hitting how media is trying to use this as an opportunity to provoke for war. It is really sad how media is posing war as a way to solve this issue. It is painful to know that media is interested in war more than anyone else.
Terror attacks have always been a political issue where government is at fault and opposition tries to condemn them. However, media has come to spill its poisonous thoughts in India. They are not only asking for surgical strikes, they want war. ABP news channel is running news saying, “Now terror will end with destruction of Pakistan.” They are trying to provoke government and citizens that war is the ‘need of the hour’.
After all, this is the same media who defamed Gurmehar Kaur who said that war killed her father. Media is gone out of its way to ask for war. Is it media which will decide destruction of a nation? Is it media which will decide when war is needed or not?
This role of media is to be condemned in as much strong words as possible. Such words are not only harmful for two nations, it is not inhuman and insensitive. Such kind of media reports are bigger challenge for national security.
Today’s attack was one of the biggest one which took place during rule of Modi government. Opposition leaders have condemned the attack while blaming government for the lapse in security.
