Sadhvi Pragya has become one of the most controversial politician of the year 2019. She made headlines when she gave statements against Hemant Karkare. Now, she is in controversy for doing politics in the name of cow.
Actually, she recently filed her nomination for the Bhopal seat. At that time she gave some statements to the India Today TV. She said that ‘Gau Mutra and other cow products helped to cure her cancer.’ She also said that the condition of cows in our country saddens her. Also, she compared owning a cow to having ‘Amrit’. Pragya also touched the cow in front of media and said that this can even help to cure Blood Pressure. She called this as a scientific method.
Even if Pragya was found ‘Gau Mutra’ to be helpful in fighting cancer, it would have been better if she would have done some study before regretting the condition of cows in India. It is to note that a report came last month that in UP’s Greater Noida 200 cows died in a Gaushala withing 2 months. The case was of Greater Noida’s Ecotech III area.
Cows in such a large number were sick due to insufficient amount of fodder for them. This is not the situation present in just Greater Noida. Last year, in the absence of proper treatment and fodder in Lucknow, 250 cows died.
The statement given by Sadhvi Pragya during filing her nomination implies that she is doing cow-politics. It is worth noting that UP CM Yogi Adityanath has also done politics on cow. This is because cow is worshiped in Hindu religion. That’s why BJP leaders tend to do politics in the name of cow to please Hindu voters. However, they are unable to deal with problems of both people and cows.
