It is surprising for Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Subramanian Swamy that Shaktikanta Das has been made RBI governor. According to Swamy, Shaktikanta is corrupt.
Swami said during the Dialog session of Indian School of Business, Hyderabad on Saturday, “The new governor of RBI is very corrupt. I had got him removed from finance ministry.”
I am calling Shaktikanta Das as corrupt. I am surprised that the person who was removed from finance ministry by me due to his corrupt practices, has been made RBI governor.”
It is to note that it is first time in 70 years that a RBI governor has been accused of corruption. On this journalist Ashutosh Mishra writes that
