Police-administration has come into action as soon as the Model Code of Conduct is implemented for the Lok Sabha election 2019. The combined teams of both are working on the streets to remove hoardings and banners of political parties.

More than 3,600 posters, hoardings and wall paint have been removed by administration  in Gautamuddh Nagar of UP alone within 24 hours. Gautam Budh Nagar District Administration has announced that there will be implementation of Section 144 of the CrPC. These laws prohibit the assembly of more than 4 people together.

It is to note that Election Commission has announced dates for the 17th Lok Sabha elections on April 10. Polling for first phase will be put on April 11 and the last phase of polling will be on May 19. The results of the elections will be announced on May 23.

In Shahjahanpur, UP police has registered a case against 100 people along with 50 workers of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad for violation of code of conduct. This includes the name of the District Co-Auditor Rajesh Awasthi of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

The chief development officer of Shahjahanpur said that, “VHP leaders and activists stopped the gate of the Collectorate.” They told that the VHP workers were accused of reaching their offices and interrupting them. The case has been filed. On the order of District Magistrate Amrit Tripathi, a case has been registered in Sadar police station.
