Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of Shatrughan Sinha, has given reaction on her father leaving Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She said that he should have quit the party long ago as he never got the respect he deserved.
She has supported her father’s decision by saying that it was his choice. Her statement also implied that he was suppressed in BJP and will ‘hopefully’ not feel that with Congress.

Shatrughan Sinha has time and again criticized decisions taken by BJP and leader Narendra Modi. He even attended the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ rally organized by TMC in West Bengal earlier this year.
Shatrughan Sinha is termed as an ‘opportunist’ by BJP. However, his daughter has claimed that he never got the respect from BJP. He was even denied ticket for 2019 elections by the party. As a result, he left the party and joined Congress instead.
Shatrughan Sinha was elected to Lok Sabha during 2014 elections from Bihar’s Patna Sahib seat. He contested elections from Bharatiya Janata Party at that seat and got 485,905 votes. This time he has got ticket from Congress and has left BJP.
Changing parties is not a new thing and often takes place during elections. The question is about who will win from Patna Sahib seat this time? And, will Shatrughan Sinha be able to retain his Lok Sabha seat?
