Modi government is often criticized for false promises it made during 2014 elections. He is majorly criticized for not keeping his promise over increasing employment rate in the country. Instead, people are losing their jobs which they already did.

Earlier, it was being said that there are no jobs in government and unorganized sectors. But the situtation of jobs in corporate sector has also deteriorated. Recent reports show that condition of jobs in this sector is also sensitive.

According to Capitaline’s report, 35 lakh people have been recruited in top 171 companies from 2017-18. This number was 1.80 crore in 2013-14. If we compare the two stats then 1.45 crore people have become unemployed per year. There has been merely 1.9% increase in total number of employees of top companies during financial year 2017-18. The same percentage was 6.2% in 2013-14.

PM Modi had promised 2 crore jobs per year during 2014 elections. At that time this much amount of jobs were already being produced in the private sector. However, situation became worse after that. 35 lakh jobs are now being produced per year in in private sector.

This report has been made on the basis of stats presented by Capitaline and yearly reports given by these companies.
